Enhancing apprenticeships within the Higher Education curriculum – an Action Learning and Action Research study

This Action Learning (AL)/Action Research study (AS) explores the practice of (AL) to further higher education (H.E.) apprenticeships by collaboration between University Provider (UP) and employer. AL members aim address complexity, bridging gap management delivered a work-based learning (WBL) apprenticeship course translating into apprentices’ workplace. Set followed systematic cycle planning, action, observing reflecting. demonstrates how AL, as methodology, supports ambassadors (who lead in their organisations) UPs solve complex problems through inquiry critical reflection enhance curriculum. The principal findings from cultivate stronger were clarity WBL, value proposition ownership expectation; support translation theory practice; empowering mindset professional identity; senior buy-in.
